The Story Behind Rebel Roots Collective

Rebel Roots Collective began one night, sparked by frustration over yet another wave of food recalls and a deepening sense of disconnection from the community. Rather than staying angry, our founder chose action, setting out to make friends and feed a community. A simple post went up on the local residents’ page: an invitation to come together, learn to grow food, and share the harvest. The response was immediate and overwhelming. Within 48 hours, more than 130 people had said yes. That yes became the foundation of the collective.
 

Word spread quickly beyond town lines. When a resident of a neighboring community reached out wanting to launch a chapter of her own, a partnership formed, and Rebel Roots Collective officially took root. Today, the collective continues to grow, connecting neighbors and nourishing communities, and it’s only up from here!
